Right way to wash and iron a chiffon saree at home?does it need ironing at all?

It is baby pink in color..embroidered with transparent beads.I can’t give it to the dry cleaners..i have no time.
hahha… am wearing one for the first time too! its for an indian function..and hence the confusion.

I have several and there are a couple of problems with washing them with water. One is that they tend to shrink, another is that they bleed, fade and color transfer depending on the dye that was used. Almost every one requires steaming or ironing after wet washing because they wrinkle terribly.

I have found using the at home in dryer dry cleaning kit avoids most of those problems. To keep them from shrinking, I use the air dry setting so they are not subjected to high heat. I still steam or touch up iron the garment after treatment, but I like mine to look perfect.
