Using gray as main color on walls in new home?

I am renovating 3 bedrooms and a family room, the carpets will be a nice soft medium gray color. I would like to also use a shade of gray on the walls, I want them to be neutral so all my furnishings will pop!!! The bedrooms are on the small side so I would like to use a light to med shade, thinking on something like templeton gray by Benjamin Moore Paint. Any suggestions?

I don’t know how you feel about this, but I think if you used gray on all the walls, it would not only make it smaller, but a little too dark. I would suggest maybe using gray on one or two of the walls. Or maybe VERY light gray, and perhaps one of the walls a darker gray. Just don’t make the paint color match the carpet color too closely. Anyway, just thoughts….and good luck.
