where are tiebacks supposed to be placed on curtains?
i am putting my baby girl’s room together and i have some beautiful floral curtains for her room. i have two gold tie backs. the curtains are like a tone of green.
where do i put the tie backs to really make them look good? do i go in the middle of the window, up higher or down lower. i tried them all and i don’t like any of these positions.
help me, i am not good at decorating with curtains.
I like them about 2/3 down from the top of the window if the curtains are floor length and the window is fairly tall.
On a short window, I put sheers to abut 6″ below the sill, and panels to the floor. There I put the tiebacks just about at the sill or slightly higher.
In a baby girls room with the curtain about sill length, you could put them in the middle.
However, you haven’t been happy with most of the positions you’ve tried. Frankly, there is no wrong way as long as you are pleased with the look. Try more positions. I’ve even seen tiebacks at the upper third of the window with panels just below the sill or floor length.
