What is the best fabric for draping dresses?
i’m making a dress for spring formal and i’m thinking of a design with a draping like these:

what is the best fabric to do this with? would i need a lining fabric?

This needs a very supple fabric, like a charmeuse or silk jersey. Yes, these dresses are probably lined, and maybe underlined, particularly the first one.
Drapers are not easy to find. Who do you intend to have construct this dress? Find the draper first, then choose the fabric suitable for the design you agree on.
