Why were the colors blue for a boy and pink for a girl adopted?
Are the pink and blue colors for a boy or girl based on any theory or historical reason?
It was a long time ago and it is based around superstition. Blue is often thought to repel evil. Blue looks like the sky and as you can’t steal the sky it would confuse Lilith and her demons. Boy babies, thought to be more important than girls, were wrapped in blue to keep Lilith and other demons from stealing them or harming them. I will keep looking for the book in which I read this.
