Flea infestation – need a plan of attack?

I have 2 large dogs and 2 cats. The youngest cat has introduced fleas into the house and I went through a ‘spot-on’ treatment process with all the animals 6 weeks ago. The problem seemed to go away. Now the fleas are back and I want rid of them big time. My pets have access to all areas of my 3 bedroom detached house and I am fearful that I will have fleas in every room, lurking in bedding, carpets and clothing.

I need to kill the live fleas on the animals, kill the larvae/eggs on the animals, kill the larvae/eggs buried in carpet/soft furnishings and get them all lifted up – whats the best way to do this?

Any advice on how long I’ll need to be vigilant to keep fleas away for good??

for your carpets sprinkle borax on the carpet and vacuum really really well!!! you will also need to vacuum the beds including the mattresses. (you can also buy the flea bombs, but clean good after using them)

for fleas on dogs. start with the flea dip, then use frontline plus.

Fleas are tough little buggers to get rid of, but once you do keeping the carpets and house cleaned and pets properly treated you won’t have the bad infestation.
