Which trade fairs in UK could I get to?

Hi
I wish to visit trade fairs early 2007 in the soft furnishings/ home sector but find that unless you are a retailer, they are closed. I am in a chicken and egg situation and cannot get to start my new business without visiting trade fairs to meet suppliers and cannot visit unless I am a retailer!
Are there any top tips or exhibitions that would be suitable for start up businesses?

Start the business up by registering at Companies House, it doesn’t cost much if you use an online wizard. I used www.company-wizard.co.uk and would recommend them, but there are plenty of others out there.

You don’t need to start trading, of course, and if you back out, it’s only cost you a few quid.

Then you have a legitimate reason to be there. You are the Managing Director of XYZ Ltd.

(Another few quid will get you a domain name and a professional looking business e-mail address, to help you look the part)
